I work at the West Plains Public Library in West Plains, Missouri, where I have been for almost 25 years. After much consideration, I have decided to branch out in anticipation of my retirement. My new endeavor is a virtual assistant service called Research V A. I will provide a variety of services such as Word processing, editing and proofreading, spreadsheet creation and PowerPoint presentations. I have a pretty good background for this as I have been teaching basic computer classes at the public library for several years, as well as helping patrons with word documents and all sorts of e-mail and Internet issues. After I completed my Associates degree in 2006 at Missouri State University-West Plains, I continued to take classes towards an education degree.
